The Home Health Aide Program comprises of total of 76 hours: 60 hours of lecture and 16 hours of clinical experience. Students who successfully complete the C.H.H.A program will be eligible to take the Home Health Aide competency test that will evaluate their ability to be certified by the New Jersey Board of Nursing. Classroom activities take place at the above school location, and clinical activities take place at a resident’s house or at South Mountain Nursing Home located in Springfield Avenue in Union, New Jersey..

Monday to Thursday 9:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M., Evening sessions Monday to Thursday 5:00
P.M.-9:00 P.M. and Weekend sessions 9:00 A.M. to 3:00
P.M..
The total cost of the program is $425.00 to be paid as follows:
1. $25.00 application fee to be paid when application is filled (non-refundable)
$75.00 registration fee to be paid at registration time (non-refundable)
$200.00 the first day of class
. Any payments must be made only in (MONEY ORDER) form. We do not accept cash, checks, or credit cards.
The remaining balance of $125.00 is to be paid between the first day of class and the day of the final exam
In addition to the amount required to be paid to the school, students are required to bring two money orders: one of $80.00 to be sent to the Board of Nursing, one for $50.00 processing and exam fee.
The book is not included in the tuition. Its price at the school is $45.00. To be admitted to the Home Health Aide Program, candidates must show his or her ability to speak, read and write English. The TABE test administered at the school must be passed if candidate can’t bring his or her GED/High School Diploma or their Equivalent.
Candidates for Home Health Aide Program should know that they wouldn't be issued a CHHA licence if their fingerprints do not clear.
